Week of January 4th

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

10 Isaiah 41:10

Welcome Back, Families! We hope everyone enjoyed their break. Thank you for your continued generosity this past year. We cannot wait to see what JOY the new year brings to all.

  • School Donations

Saint John Paul II Catholic academy would like to thank all who donated to #IgiveCatholic on giving Tuesday this year.

Especially to Cindy Gressel in memory of the deceased members of the Mathy families, to Sheila & Michael Shanks in memory of Michael John Shanks, Jr., to Deacon Steve Gretzinger, and to all other anonymous benefactors. We were able to raise $400 that will go towards one of our water circulation heat pumps.

If you are able to donate to this cause or know of someone who might, we do have someone who is willing to match the total donations of up to $5000.

  • Volunteers for Catholic Schools Week Jan 31-Feb 4

This is always a FUN week for JP2. There will be special trips and activities planned to celebrate Catholic Schools. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteer opportunities during this time. *Some examples will be: Treat Distributors, Recess duty (Friday), Sled transporters, and Chaperones/Drivers for various activities.

-Please save your clean, label-free milk jugs as well for a really special idea we are planning! We are also going to need flashlights.

  • Principal’s Corner

This week the Academy welcomes the services of Sara Staszak as our Alumni Development Coordinator here at St. John Paul II. Mrs. Staszak is both an alumnus of MCC and a parent here at JPII. She is also the daughter of alum Kim Eickmeyer making for a three generation family in our school! We look forward to Sara’s ongoing work with JPII and our endowment organization, the Menominee Catholic Education Fund, to further current and future connections between our past and present school community. Sara can be reached at our Alumni Facebook group or via alumni@jpiicatholicacademy.org.
